I. Clamping

Why was my vehicle clamped? I have a valid P&D Ticket / Permit.

How do I pay for declamp?

To pay online log onto https://pay.apcoa.ie or call our payment line on 0818462888.

Why is there an extra charge when paying by card?

The additional €5 fee covers credit card and administrative charges.

How long will I be waiting for the vehicle to be declamped?

We aim to declamp all vehicles within 1 hour, weather and traffic depending but in some cases it may take longer. If you pay by credit card you will be notified when your car has been declamped, you do not need to wait by your car.

Why is the declamp fee €120, is there not a max fee of €100?

You may have read news reports about the proposed introduction of a maximum declamp fee of €100. These proposals have not yet been decided on by the National Transport Authority.

Why is there an out of hours fee?

In certain regions an additional fee may apply for declamping outside of business hours. Please see signage on site for further information.

Will I get a receipt?

Our enforcement operatives will issue a full receipt once the full fee is paid and the vehicle declamped.

How do I appeal the declamp fee?

All information in relation to appealing can be found on your receipt. Appeals can be submitted to clamping.appeals@apcoa.ie. Please ensure to supply full information and evidence to support your appeal. 

You must supply your vehicle registration number as well as your full name and address in order for the appeals department to process your appeal.

How long does it take for my appeal to be dealt with?

We aim to deal with all appeals within 28 days.

I am not paying for my vehicle to be declamped, what happens next?

Vehicles will remain clamped until the full declamp fee is paid.  Please note that this fee may increase every 24 hours. Please see the docket placed on your vehicle or signage on site for further information.

If I remove the clamp myself what happens? 

Removal of the clamp causing damage is an offence under the Criminal Damage Act, 1991. Any such incidents are reported to An Garda Síochána.

I need a vehicle clamped. How do I report this vehicle?

II. Parking fines

Why was my fine issued? 

All information in relation to your fine can be found on the fixed charge notice that was placed on your vehicle. If you wish to view photographs of your vehicle at the time of the alleged offence please visit www.paymyfine.ie

How can I appeal the fine?

To appeal a parking fine, please email your appeal along with full information and evidence to support your appeal. You must supply your vehicle registration number as well as your full name and address in order for the appeals department to process your appeal. How do I pay?

To pay a fine please visit www.paymyfine.ie or send a cheque or postal order made payable to the relevant Council to:

Please include your fine reference number and vehicle registration number with all postal payments. 

I was not driving the vehicle on the date? How do I nominate a driver? 

If you were not driving the vehicle on the date of the offence please supply the full name and postal address of the person whom was driving your vehicle.

Please note in relation to fines issued for Tax offences, the onus is on the owner of the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is fully taxed. Nominations will not be accepted for Tax offences. 

I was not the owner on the date of the offence? 

If you were not the owner at the time of the alleged offence please supply the full name and address of the person whom you sold the vehicle to.

I received a legal warning letter or summons. How do I proceed? 

If you wish to make payment of your fixed charge offence please visit www.paymyfine.ie. Otherwise you must attend court at the location, date and time shown on the Summons

III. Parking permits

How do I apply for a parking permit?

Please visit our permit websites https://permits.apcoa.ie or www.apcoaswift.ie 

If your location is not available on these websites then please contact your Landlord or Property Management for further information on how to obtain a permit. 

I have changed my vehicle. Do I need a new permit? 

If you own a permit for the locations below you may be able to change your default vehicle online. Please log on to the relevant website and follow the instructions shown

I have lost my permit.

I need additional permits. How many is my residence entitled to?

Please contact your property management if you have any queries about permit entitlements. 

I purchased a permit in error / No longer require the permit.
