New Luas Park and Ride opens on Green Line at Carrickmines

Park and Ride facilities are located at a range of locations on the Red and Green Lines. For details of locations see www.luas.ie. The newest Luas Park and Ride in Carrickmines on the Green Line Cherrywood extension has just opened.

This new facility has 352 spaces and includes 13 disabled spaces. It also features two Electric Charging Bays with charge facilities for four vehicles. A number of additional Electric Charging Bays will open shortly at Luas and Iarnrod Eireann locations.

The Carrickmines Park and Ride is operated by APCOA Parking Ireland Limited, who were awarded the contract to manage the LUAS Park and Ride sites following a competitive tender process in 2010.

Commenting on the launch of the Carrickmines Park and Ride, APCOA Managing Director Neil Cunningham said, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with the RPA with the opening of the sixth LUAS Park and Ride. APCOA staff will be on site at Carrickmines during the first week of operation to assist with any queries from customers. We would like to wish the RPA/LUAS continued success.”
