APCOA operates several car parks in Galway, including Market Street, the Mercy College car park, and the Parish of the Cathedral car park.

Galway is a mid-sized town in West Ireland. The city started life as a 12th-century fort: in the 15th century, legendary mariner Christopher Columbus stopped here. Still a seafaring town, Galway has a harbour and docks that serve both cruise ships and commercial vessels. Galway Harbour, which is a 10-minute walk from our Mercy College car park, incorporates a 31-berth pontoon marina and an oil terminal. Various marine services are available at Galway Harbour, including chandlery and stevedoring.

To discover more about Galway’s history, both maritime and non-maritime, visit the Galway City Museum—6 minutes on foot from our Mercy College Car Park. The Galway City Museum houses permanent collections and exhibitions.

The Mercy College Car Park is also convenient for Galway Cathedral. This huge, modern Roman Catholic church is only a 7-minute walk away. You’ll also find several of Galway’s schools close to the Mercy College Car Park: in addition to Mercy College itself, this car park is handy for the Galway Technical Institute and Claddagh National School. And if you’re meeting friends in town, Eyre Square is 5 minutes from Mercy College.

Our Parish of the Cathedral car park is convenient for two more Galway schools: Bish Secondary School (4 minutes away), and St Pats NS (1 minute). The Parish of the Cathedral car park is also close to the Galway Shopping Centre (10 minutes’ walk).
